SpaMania Strikes SAHS!

The May meeting of the San Antonio Herb Society featured representatives from the following companies who presented a panel discussion on this exploding movement towards physical and mental well being, and the role that herbs are playing in the products that are used.

  • Aveda Institute: an organically-based center for beauty and personal care offering spa-related training at its facility in the Pearl Brewery complex near downtown San Antonio
  • Florame Aromatherapie: French supplier of certified organic essential oils, massage oils, carrier oils, home fragrances, soaps, hand creams, face creams, candles, diffusers, shower oils, body lotions, floral waters, bath oils and many other organic aromatherapy products.
  • Fredericksburg Herb Farm: in addition to plants, they specialize in herb-related products and an on-site spa

Linda Goldfarb, certified physical fitness specialist, speaker, columnist and radio personality, moderated the discussion with wit, knowledge, and insight. The program was in two parts - a panel discussion, and then a more hands-on experience with each of the presenters and their herbal businesses and services who answered question one-on-one.
